FAQs

Q?

What should I do if my team needs to forfeit?

A.

If your team needs to forfeit, you should notify the League administrator BY EMAIL as soon as possible. Please be sure to also email the captain of the opposing team as a courtesy!

If you want to avoid paying the referee fees, the deadline to notify the League administrator is THURSDAY BY 4 PM; otherwise, your team will be charged the full referee fees ($110) in addition to the forfeit fine. Please see Rule 6.2 Forfeits – Penalties for more information.

Q?

How do I join a team? How much does it cost?

A.

Players must first be invited by a captain to join a team before they can register. Please complete the Find a Team form and your information will be shared with captains who are looking for players.

The player registration fee is $40 for each team that you want to play on for the 2015/16 season (valid from beginning of Fall 2015 through the end of the Summer 2016 season). The League does not offer a discount on multiple registrations.

Additionally, most teams require players to pay dues to the team captain to help cover the costs for team registration, uniforms, referee fees, etc.

Q?

I want to register a new team in AMSA. What are the fees?

A.

The fees associated with starting a new team are as follows:

  • $200 new team bond (one-time security deposit; refunded upon team leaving the League, less any fees and/or fines owed).
  • $600 team registration fee for each round during the regular season ($600 for the Fall round; $600 for the Spring round); $400 for the Summer season.
  • Player registration fee: $40 per player per team for the 2015/16 season (from beginning of Fall 2015 through the end of Summer 2016).

Additionally, each team pays 50% of the referee fees for each game, which is $55 per team per game for a full referee crew (Center Referee + 2 Assistant Referees).

Q?

How do I register?

A.

Player registration: Your captain will send you an email with the link to register via www.Ateamo.com. Just click on the link, complete the registration form, and then pay.

Team registration: The League administrator will send an email to all captains with the registration link prior to (and throughout) each registration period. The registration link will also be posted on your team’s page in Ateamo. Just click on the link, complete the registration process, and pay.

Q?

How do I appeal a red card?

A.

If you received a red card during a match, the League will send you and/or your captain a “notice of penalties” email by the following Wednesday. Once you receive the notification, if you decide to appeal the red card, please follow the steps in the AMSA Appeal Process.
